Program Levels

Level I is the pre-service phase of the program.  During this semester, students will complete seven (7) modules to meet all licensure requirements.  These include:

  • Foundations of Teaching
  • Instructional Design
  • Teaching and Learning Content Methods
  • Teaching Reading in the Content Area
  • Classroom Management
  • Current Trends and Issues in Education
  • Data, Assessment, and Feedback

The instructor-led sessions will align with the online coursework being completed in each module.

Level II is the year-long support phase of the program.  Students who have successfully completed Level I, become eligible for a license, and been hired by a school division, or accredited private school, may enroll in Level II.  During Level II, students will participate in ongoing professional development, complete additional monthly assignments, and be observed, in their classroom, by a faculty member.
